I am a thirtysomething (ahem) IP lawyer, married to Eamon and in November 2009 we had our first baby, a beautiful little girl called Zoe. Eamon's work has brought us to Boston for 6 months, which was great for me as I am on maternity leave! This blog is a record of our time in Boston. I realise this makes me a "mommy blogger", but I don't (a) expect anyone I don't know to read this blog and (b) give a shit.
We left our 2 cats behind in London with Tony & Kate, who post their activities here. I miss those furry little bastards. We also left behind our families, which is probably harder on them as they won't get to see Zoe growing up over the next 6 months.
The only blogs I have ever read are Dooce and the mighty IP Kat. From these I have learnt (i) that it's not a good idea to write about work on the internet and (ii) everything I know about intellectual property law.
My current hobbies are sterilising feeding equipment, changing nappies and getting to grips with Skype. My favourite band is The Smiths and my free pass is Sean Bean.
